Exibition "Delmati: The strenght of unity"

As part of the festival’s opening, our actors presented a performance in the streets of Radićeva, wearing tunics and jewellery inspired by ancient Delmati designs, crafted by Grubić Design for the exhibition. These garments and jewellery pieces were specially created for the museum project Delmati: The Strength of Unity, prepared in cooperation with museums from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The exhibition, hosted at the National Museum in Sarajevo, highlights the cultural heritage of the Delmati, an Illyrian people once settled from today’s Dalmatia to the Duvanjsko field. Our jewellery, inspired by original Delmati forms, reflects the simplicity and symbolism of bronze and iron ornaments marked by geometric motifs.

Each piece was designed to echo the courage, identity, and deep connection to nature that characterised the Delmati. Through this work, we aim to revive the visual language of an ancient community whose unity defined their way of life. With every item we create, Grubić Design brings a fragment of this history into the present. We invite visitors to discover the strength and beauty of Delmati jewellery and to notice how its expression continues to inspire contemporary design.
